The back program

Built with over a decade of clinical experience in a world leading sports medicine practice, tested in research and honed through hours of coaching experience, this program is the most effective back strengthening program for anyone wanting to reduce back pain or help to prevent it. It is based on the idea that your movement, the way your body uses your muscles and the strength of those muscles can lead to increased confidence, improved function and less pain.

You can follow this program at home or in the gym and it is split into 2 blocks, a foundation phase where you will learn the exercises and improve your movement and gradually build confidence, then a building phase where the focus shift more towards and increase in strength. The building phase will require access to some weights to assist with your strength increase. Along the way you’ll receive educational videos to help understand your back and reflect on the progress you’re making.

If you want a little more assistance, the guided program will include an online consultation to discuss your specific needs and build a bespoke program for you. You will receive questionnaires to fill out every couple of weeks to track your progress and a report will be prepared for you at the end of the program so you can see what changes you made. You’ll receive this report for your records and, if you were referred to the program, it will be sent to your referrer.

The back program will give you the skills to look after your back, and your body, throughout your lifetime.
